This is a list of references to Ensenada is published on Wikipedia. Ranging from the animated series South Park to The Doors. These references appear only in the English version, but hey, I know you can read it without problem.
If you know of another interesting reference add him in the comments, (the U2's visit to the city and all of us know.)

• Ween, a popular U.S. rock band in Ensenada references Bananas and Blow Their song from 2001's White Pepper. The line goes, "I Went to see my mom in Ensenada / And I left a little something to help the time go by / Just a little something to help to keep you high"

• In the animated TV series South Park , on an episode of The Fourth Season (Probably), Kenny Seems To Be Lost in Ensenada and calls to His Friends from a pay phone next to the club Papas & Beer. Thinking I have is in hell, When the boys ask him to tell them what hell is like he answers: (Um...) mariachi music is heard, and the street is lively enough.

• One of the Fender manufacturing plants is located in Ensenada.

• Warren Zevon references the city in his song Carmelita: "And I'm there with her in Ensenada, And I'm here in Echo Park."

• On the 4th seasons's second episode (The Gringos) of the popular teen drama The O.C., Seth and Ryan go to Ensenada to find Volchok, who had caused the death of Marissa Cooper.

• There are strong rumors within Ensenada's inhabitants that Alphonse Gabriel Capone owned the locally famous Riviera Pacifico Casino and Hotel, which now serves as convention and cultural center.

• Ensenada's oral history also says that Leon Trotsky lived there for several months in the early 1930s, as a waiting point after applying for a passport to the United States, which was denied. Consequently, Trotsky moved to Mexico City.

• The city is also the setting of a song by Neil Diamond titled "In Ensenada". The song can be found on the album Heartlight.
Lyle Lovett titled his 1996 album The Road To Ensenada as a reference to the spectacular 100 km coastal toll-road between Tijuana and Ensenada.

• In an extended live rendition of "The End" by The Doors (released in the album In Concert in 1991), Jim Morrison name-checks Ensenada. Due to the proximity to Los Angeles and the fact that he could be virtually unnoticed in Ensenada, it is said that Morrison visited frequently.

• The Hollywood - based British actor Nigel Bruce, best remembered for his portrayal of Doctor Watson opposite Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes, was born in Ensenada in 1895 while his parents were on holiday in the city.

• In one episode of The Oblongs when Pickles tries to break into a factory she says, "If we get caught, meet at the yellow rose in Ensenada."

• The city was referenced in the song "Detonation Boulevard" by The Sisters of Mercy: "I caught something weird in Ensenada." The song appears on the 1990 album Vision Thing.

• In one episode of Veronica Mars, There is a reference to a shot glass for historical Bought Logan Echolls deceased girlfriend, Which read "I got baked in Ensenada."
